Project "Nutri-AI" achieved first place in NETC competition
Project "Nutri-AI: Intelligent System for Controlling Food Production Lines" achieved first place at the national level, out of 112 teams participating in the Nutrition Entrepreneurship Technology Competition (NETC).
This achievement came under the supervision of Dr. Dania Bani Hani, whose guidance and support played a pivotal and fundamental role in the project's success, and with the participation of Industrial Engineering students: Shahd Anabtawi, Farah Al-Momani, Tuqa Abu Al-Khail, and Yara Darwish, who contributed effectively to the development and implementation of the project.
The competition was held under the supervision of the Nutrition Entrepreneurship Technology Competition (NETC) and organized by Yarmouk University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs. It witnessed broad participation from university and school students from various governorates across the Kingdom, as part of efforts to support innovation and develop technical and engineering solutions with practical impact. 112 teams participated in the competition, with each team comprising 2–4 students, who were filtered down to 9 teams that competed in the final stage.
The project relies on developing an intelligent system to control food production lines using Artificial Intelligence techniques and real-time monitoring of nutritional values. This contributes to improving food quality, reducing waste, and increasing production efficiency, in support of the trend toward healthy and sustainable food.
