
Dean of Hijjawi Faculty Visited Irbid Chamber of Industry
In an effort to strengthen the partnership between Yarmouk University and the industrial sector, a delegation from the university, including the Dean of the Faculty of Business, Professor Yahya Melhem, the Dean of Hijjawi Faculty of Engineering Technology, Professor Awad Al-Zaben, and the Head of the Industrial Engineering Department, Dr. Ahmed Al-Momani, visited the Irbid Chamber of Industry. They met with the Chamber's Director, Nidal Al-Sadr, and the Director of Projects and Training, Hala Al-Saheb.
During the meeting, the delegation members emphasized the importance of building a genuine and sustainable partnership between the university and the Chamber of Industry. This partnership would be achieved through the formation of joint committees focused on developing training and employment opportunities for students, supporting faculty projects, and organizing courses and workshops that benefit the university, industry, and the local community alike.
For his part, Al-Sadr presented an overview of the vital role the Chamber plays in supporting and developing industrial projects in Irbid. He stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation with Yarmouk University, particularly with Hijjawi Faculty of Engineering Technology and the Faculty of Business, given their fundamental role in providing the industrial sector with qualified personnel and scientific and applied expertise.
At the conclusion of the visit, it was agreed to hold an expanded meeting later to discuss the terms of a joint memorandum of understanding between the Irbid Chamber of Industry and Yarmouk University, represented by the Faculty of Business and Hijjawi Faculty of Engineering Technology, in order to enhance joint academic and industrial cooperation.
